Le Pouf: Claudia Style

Some eye candy for Friday afternoon! Photography magazine Stern Fotografie commissioned Karl Lagerfeld to produce a series of images for their 60th anniversary issue. The result is a whole series of photographs featuring supermodel Claudia Schiffer. As soon as I saw this one of her sporting an eighteenth century pouf hairstyle, I knew I wanted to share it. If like me, you long to try this hairstyle out one day (just once, just to see what it was like), then enjoy!

  6. No, not a realistic everyday look for 2010 :D One of these days I'm going to attempt it just for fun!

Have a great week too, Carole, good to see you back. x

  7. It is amazing that the pouff is back in style. When it was introduced during Marie Antoinette's reign, it was achieved with the application of grease and flour to wire substructures. It attracted vermin and would have made sleeping very difficult!!!
I suppose it would be fun and fabulous to try today as long as you could wash it out before bed!
I admire KL very much, but sometimes I wonder why they don't give someone else a chance to shine!

  8. I know! I've read some fantastic stories about accessories and coach seats being lowered to accomodate the height of a lady's hair. If I were to try it, I would certainly want to get rid of it before bed time!
